History of Ocean Engineering
The establishment of the Ocean Engineering Program was initiated in 1985 with the development of the New S1 Ocean Engineering Program funded by World Bank Project XVII.  Ocean Engineering Program was established in 1994 as a program under the Department of Civil Engineering.  In 2006, following a reorganization of ITB, the Ocean Engineering Program became Department of Ocean Engineering under the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering (FCEE) that comprises three departments : Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, and Ocean Engineering.
The Ocean Engineering Program began to have the first student admission on 1994 and  in October 1998, Ocean Engineering Program had the first undergraduate graduation.  Until now, the Department of Ocean Engineering has about 200 alumni.
