Anggota Kelompok Keahlian Teknik Kelautan dan staf pengajar Program Studi Teknik Kelautan, Rildova, Ph.D, telah mengikuti “The 14th World Conference on Earthquake Engineering” (14WCEE) dari tanggal 12 hingga 17 Oktober 2008 di Beijing, China. Rildova, Ph.D mempresentasikan makalah berjudul “Effect of Structural Variation on the Performance of MTMD as a Seismic Response Control Device“. Di samping itu, yang bersangkutan juga turut menulis 2 makalah lainnya pada Conference tersebut, yaitu “Learning from Recent Indonesian Earthquakes: An Overview to Improve Structural Performance” yang dipresentasikan oleh Dr. Krishna S. Pribadi (KK MRK), dan “Reducing Earthquake Vulnerability of Non-engineered Buildings: Case Study of Retrofitting of School Building in Indonesia” yang dipresentasikan oleh Dyah Kusumastuti, Ph.D (KK Rekayasa Struktur).
Sementara itu, anggota Kelompok Keahlian Teknik Kelautan dan staf pengajar Program Studi Teknik Kelautan, Ricky Lukman Tawekal, Ph.D, akan menyajikan paper berjudul “Fatigue Reliability Index of Jacket Offshore Platform Based on Fracture Mechanics” pada Seminar Internasional EASEC-11 (Eleventh East Asia-Pacific Conference on Structural Construction) yang akan dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 19 – 21 November 2008 di Taipei, Taiwan.
