To fulfill the demand of Indonesia ocean experts the Department of Ocean Engineering offers courses and research opportunities in environmental and engineering aspects of coastal and offshore infrastructure. The program is aimed at prospective students who wish to pursue their professional career in ocean related engineering design, environmental impact analysis, research and development, education, policy making and industry. Presently, the Ocean Engineering Program offers two specialized fields of subjects: Coastal and Offshore Engineering.
The Undergraduate Program offers a range of courses which allow graduates to fill almost any roles in the ocean engineering sector. The Program required at least 144 credits that should be finished within 8 semesters. Thirty six out of the 144 credits are taken in the first year as compulsory courses in the Common Preparatory Level (Tahap Persiapan Bersama – TPB). At least 24 credits must be taken in the forth year as elective courses. Upon completion of the degree, a submission of a final project in a form of standard scientific report at a departmental examination is required. For more informations, detail course are shown below.
